You’re a proven leader with a strong foundation in technology and management, ready to set the tone and take ownership. You've navigated the challenges of scaling SaaS companies, balancing strategy with hands-on involvement, and have tackled complex problems head-on. You’re decisive and firm when necessary, but approachable and pragmatic, knowing how to strike the balance between vision and execution.
Your background includes:
Leading teams in growing SaaS companies of similar or slightly larger scale (neither massive enterprises nor tiny startups).
Deep technical experience (cloud infrastructure, microservices, DevOps, IAM, front-end frameworks) paired with practical management skills. Ideally you’ve coded in Java, Go, or Python.
Real-world experience managing through tough situations—not just theory, but hard-earned insight.
A collaborative approach with product teams, while maintaining the independence needed for long-term architectural integrity.
You’re not here to delegate from the sidelines—you stay on top of details, guide your teams, and bring clarity to chaos.
As VP Tech, you’ll be the single point of accountability for the technology department. Your role isn’t just about keeping the trains running; it’s about defining where our technology choices should go and how to keep them future-proof. You'll align the technology strategy with the company’s goals, manage and mentor tech leads, and foster a culture of clarity, accountability, and growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing large-scale SaaS systems (24/7, 100k+ concurrent users).
Working hand-in-hand with our architecture team to ensure enterprise-ready solutions.
Collaborating closely with Christian, our VP Product, to define and implement an achievable roadmap that balances priorities and delivers results.
Working closely with Michael to make sure his sometimes overly bold ideas become real when they are realizable.
Owning key metrics, team organization, and resource planning.
Ensuring security, compliance, stability, and innovation stay at the forefront of our strategy.
You’ll work with teams across Europe and the US, spending time where it matters most—on the ground in Konstanz or Berlin.
