KNIME is growing rapidly and we’re seeking smart, motivated, and creative people up for the challenge of helping us achieve ambitious scaling goals while continuing to empower the active community. Right now, we are looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our team at KNIME in Konstanz or Berlin.*

Who you are

In addition to enjoying working in an interactive, sometimes a tad chaotic, but fun team (or so we think), what we expect from you is that:

Your approach to ux engineering involves constructing solutions to address problems from the user's perspective, considering the user’s origin and the intended direction of their interactions with the system to reach its goals.
You have several years (ideally 5+) of experience building complex apps or software products.
You have a good understanding of design processes, usability principles, and UX best practices.
You are proficient in the use of common UX and design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, or equivalent tools) for building user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
You have a portfolio highlighting design expertise in interaction design, and innovation through impactful project examples.

That's the job

Put simply: You’ll take an important role in shaping the UX. This involves the continued evolution of KNIME Community Hub, and KNIME Business Hub (our commercial environment) and bringing KNIME Analytics Platform into the browser.

Day-to-day, you can expect to:

Transform complex technical ideas into clear user flows and requirements with a straightforward outcome.
Contribute actively to the projects as described above and ensure the “consistency” of all our UX concepts and guidelines.
Participate proactively in shaping our in-house design language, contributing to the establishment of cohesive UX and design principles.
Apply user research methods to discover opportunities to improve the product UX.
Collaborate closely with product management, the design team, and our developers to build rich, end-to-end user experiences.
